Volume No. 4
In my last report I highlighted
the website of one Solomon753 a member of Yakin Lodge in Chicago. Mr.
Solomon753 was not very happy that his personal website had been featured
nor was he amenable to comments I made concerning the pictures of himself
holding up his middle finger and a table filled with alcoholic beverages and
other photos of similar things which have absolutely nothing to do with
Freemasonry. Yet he also had the audacity to have a beautiful picture of a
Masonic Lodge beneath those photos. In retaliation for being targeted he
changed his website and called me an Uncle Tom and an example of the Willie
Lynch Letter. One of the things I like most about the Phylaxis Society is
the ability to enlighten my Brothers. Well, Solomon753 it is overly
apparent that you have never read "Uncle Tom's Cabin" by Harriet Beecher
Stowe or you would know better than to use the often misused misnomer "Uncle
Tom" to describe what you believe to be a "sell out". Had you taken as
much time to read the book as you did to create your first web page (which
was despicable) and your second web page you would have found out the truth
about Uncle Tom. You see Mr. Solomon753 the character Uncle Tom was NOT a
sell out. He refused to beat the other slaves and he would take cotton from
his own sack and put it in the sacks of slaves who were short to keep them
from feeling the sting of the whip. Uncle Tom openly opposed the slave
master Simon Legree and refused to beat black women to make them obedient.
And, most importantly he would not tell where the escaped slaves were hiding. Conversely, Mr. Solomon753, the
character Sambo was a sell out. He did assist the slave master and he beat
poor Tom to death because Tom refused to beat the females. Are you the
modern Sambo, content to misuse Freemasonry for your own selfish aims?
Pimping the prestige of the Order, while claiming to have been taught the
lessons of the various degrees.
These featured websites are in
keeping with the John G. Jones theme of this edition. The first website is
that of the United Supreme Council of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite
for the Southern and Western Masonic Jurisdiction of the U.S.A. and Canada.
In order to fully understand the use of this name I recommend that you
read the excellent article by the Commission's Director Bro. Ralph. McNeal,
FPS.

The United Supreme Council
Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry for the Southern and
Western Masonic Jurisdiction of the U.S.A. and Canada as organized on April
5, 1869, in the city of Washington, D.C., by many high degree Masons from
Southern and Western sections of the country to regulate Scottish Rite
Masonry from the fourth to the thirty-third degrees.
This council is the supreme governing and administrative body of the
Fraternity. Its purpose is to give the Masonic student a cleaner insight
into the realms Masonic perfection, and render to him similar service as the
college renders to the high school graduate. The Scottish Rite is to the
enterprising Mason what classics are to the professional tutor, looking up
toward higher ideals, desirous to soar among the talented craftsmen of the
art, and better suited for competent leadership and tutorship. It provides
newer, and more definite avenues of expansion and development in matters
pertaining to the whole Fraternity. (Operating in 17 states according to
website).

The Virginia newspaper article
This year 2000 newspaper
article speaks of the Original General Grand Masonic Congress. According to
the article the congress consist of 17 state grand lodges with about 56,000
members nation wide. Simple math says that the average is 3294 members per
grand lodge.
After reading this portion of
the article I had to laugh out loud. Behold the cavalier use of the words
"branched off", the statement sounds as if the splits were a natural
occurrence and that so-called Scottish and York Masons are legitimate.
"There are hundreds of
Masonic communities around this country, which have, over the three
centuries in this country alone, branched off and formed Masonic Lodges and
Temples under the Scottish, York or Prince Hall Rites Masonic traditions and
ritual."
They are all "Ancient Free
and Accepted Masons" in the United States of America and Canada.
I don't think so, but perhaps
in a future article we will expound upon AF&AM and F&AM as it relates to
Prince Hall Masons.

Hiram Grand Lodge in California
According to this website this
grand lodge has a considerable number of lodges and may prove to be
formidable in their recruitment of potential members.
Our Grand Lodge was
incorporated in California in 1910. We are members of the United Supreme
Council, Southern and Western Jurisdiction, USA. Our Grand Lodge was also
issued a charter from the August S.O.M.A. stating: "is duly inscribed as
a legal and regular Masonic Body before the WORLD MASONIC PARLIAMENT and is
entitled to all the privileges attached to that condition, signed and sealed
this 3rd day of August of the year 1951 (33)." Our United Supreme
currently has 21 Grand Lodges representing 21 states in the USA.

New Birth Grand Lodge in New
Jersey
Formed in 1994, this grand
lodge history looks to be more than spurious in origin. Nonetheless, they
exist and are members of the General Grand Masonic Congress.

Now this Internet site really
piqued my interest. Now the site itself is not at all Masonic, it is a
site, which recognizes minorities in law enforcement. I would prefer that
the reader not focus on the individual, as he appears to be of the highest
caliber and from just a cursory overview would make an excellent member of a
true Masonic Lodge. However, the information gleaned is invaluable as
it speaks the manner in which these bogus organizations do their business.
In 1991, ## became a
member, and the youngest officer, of the Abraham Masonic Lodge Number Seven,
which was operating under the
M.W. Abraham Grand Masonic Lodge, Jurisdiction of Texas, Inc. He founded the
Elijah Masonic Lodge Number Six in 1993, where he remained and served
faithfully until 1994. At this time, they elevated him to the office and
position of Deputy Grand Master for the Grand Lodge. "I was the youngest
33rd degree mason in the Grand Lodge, and in the city of Houston, at 26
years of age." ## has also served as the Illustrious Potentate of Abyssinia
Shrine Temple Number One in Houston, Texas.
Here is the web site for the

The site has been under

George Washington Carver Grand
Lodge in Massachusetts
This so-called grand lodge is
located in Massachusetts and traces its origin back to the year 1895. 1895
was an infamous year in which Jones was expelled from the Supreme Council
and began establishing grand lodges wherever he could. Here is an excerpt
from their brief history:
The Most Worshipful George
Washington Carver Grand Lodge, Inc., Ancient Free
and Accepted Masons (Sometimes
referred to as Scottish Rite Masons), was
organized on June 23, 1945.
This was prompted by the unfortunate decline of The
Most Worshipful Alpha Grand
Lodge, A.F. & A.M. of Massachusetts. This act was
deemed necessary in order to
continue the work of the Scottish Rite Masons of
color in the Commonwealth of
Massachusetts.
The Most Worshipful George
Washington Carver Grand Lodge became at that time
the only Grand Lodge of Negro
Freemasons in the Commonwealth of
Massachusetts with a legitimate
background of A.F. & A.M. status whose orgin
dates back to the year 1895. It
was this year that the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge
of the District of Columbia was
masonically healed and set right by representatives
of the Caucasian Grand Lodge,
A.F. & A.M. of Roumania, Germany.

Containing several web site
links and a history of John G. Jones, I found this site to be of particular
value in determining the type of information that is taught in bogus
organizations. For example, under the history of Jones it speaks of an
1893 schism in the Supreme Council that is an outright lie. There was no
schism! Jones was expelled from the Council for trying to form his own
Supreme Council.
